Katie Monts, MA

Katie has enjoyed the experience of living on both coasts, but she is proud to be an East Texas native now returned. Katie holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Tyler and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from LeTourneau University. Katie is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor and works with a diverse clientele, starting at age 14 extending through the adult lifespan. As life often takes unexpected turns through alternate routes, loss, or new opportunities there are inevitably mental, physical, and social implications. Katie’s approach to counseling is to engage clients in a values-based and goal-oriented fashion to help them navigate these transitions depending on their individual experiences and worldview. Katie also offers clinical, career, and grief counseling.
Outside of the counseling office, Katie and her family enjoy time adventuring around East Texas to the various lakes, hiking trails, parks, and campgrounds. Katie loves teaching and building relationships in the community, and she hopes to continue to work in the Longview area to promote health and life wellness for all.
