Jessica earned her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications with a double minor in Family Studies and Ballet, from Belhaven University in 2003. She is currently a graduate student in the final phase of her master’s degree program at Grand Canyon University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Trauma emphasis. She cannot wait to finish her program in February of 2024. Jess works with children and adolescents but also enjoys counseling adults. She is passionate about helping individuals prepare for the next step in their personal journeys and she enjoys helping them to craft new narratives.
Jess utilizes a trauma-informed approach when working with all her clients and has a unique perspective when working with eating disorders or body image issues. When working with client’s experiences with prenatal and postpartum issues, she can bring her experience as a student midwife and doula into the clinical setting.
In her free time, she loves to knit, read, and practice yoga. The wife of an Air Force veteran, she is happy to finally call Longview home, along with her husband, 5 children, 2 dogs, and 3 cats. Her Dalmatian is currently in therapy dog training, and she is looking forward to having Cruella become a part of her practice once she graduates!
