Graduate Intern

Elissha Monsivais is a graduate student currently pursuing her degree in Professional Counseling at Angelo State University. Her educational background also includes a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northwestern State University and a Master’s degree in Teaching from Grand Canyon University. She is a certified school counselor and has spent over 15 years working in education, supporting diverse students and families across a variety of experiences and backgrounds.

Elissha’s educational experience has taught her the importance of creating spaces where people feel heard, respected, and supported. She values a solution focused mindset that helps individuals recognize their strengths, identify possibilities, and take meaningful steps toward the changes they want to make in their lives.

Elissha believes in being compassionate and collaborative. She is especially passionate about supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, life transitions, stress, self-doubt, relationship challenges, or other experiences that may leave them feeling stuck or overwhelmed. She believes that counseling is an opportunity to better understand yourself, build on the strengths you already possess, and move toward the life you want to create.

Elissha’s goal is to provide a welcoming space where you can be your authentic self, feel genuinely heard, and work toward meaningful change—one step at a time.
