Marie Shelton is a compassionate counselor dedicated to supporting individuals through every stage of life. An East Texas native, she earned her Bachelor of Science from East Texas Baptist University and her Master’s in School Counseling from Angelo State University.

Marie currently serves students as a school counselor with Pine Tree ISD and sees clients at East Texas Counseling Group. She is passionate about helping clients of all ages navigate challenges related to anxiety, emotional regulation, life transitions, and personal growth.

Her approach to therapy is collaborative and rooted in warmth and authenticity. Marie strives to create a nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their stories, understand their emotions, and build practical tools for growth.

 

She draws from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and trauma-informed care—tailoring each session to meet your unique needs.
